AIRCRAFT RENTAL

Licensed pilots can rent their own aircraft from either our Hilo or Kona location. We offer, well-equipped and maintained Cessna 172 aircraft, including our 1998 CESSNA 172.

All aircraft are IFR equipped and certified. All are equipped with 4 position intercom systems, and flotation devices. Headsets are provided with all flights.

Pilots can choose to take a short checkout flight with one of our instructors, and then rent the aircraft solo. Another option is to retain the instructor as a "tour guide", allowing you to fly the aircraft without a formal checkout procedure. Our pilots are all intimately familiar with all the hidden views and volcano activity that a visiting pilot might miss.

A typical full circle island flight will take between 2 1/2 and 3 hours to complete. A six-hour per day minimum rental charge applies ONLY if you take the aircraft overnight, or stop at other than your departure airport for more than one hour. Regardless of your desired rental mode, we can assure you that your flight with us will be the highlight of your vacation! Advance reservations are a must. We suggest reserving your aircraft at least 7 days in advance.

Note: Due to rapidly escalating fuel prices, we have reluctantly had to recently increase our rental rates, so that we may continue to provide the service our customers are accustomed to.

Instructor - $65/hr
