Kona Airport is positioned about 90 miles from the active volcano.  Therefore, our flights from the Kona side of the island are longer, and more expensive than our Hilo airport departures.

Our most popular Kona flight is our   KONA CIRCLE-ISLAND FLIGHT.  This flight of approximately 2 to 2.5 hours covers all the aerial beauty the Big Island has to offer.  You will soar over barren lava fields, see Kailua Bay and City of Refuge from the air, then explore all aspects of  the active volcano.
See lava pouring into the ocean (when available, of course), and view the awesome devastation of Madame Pele, whose destructive forces obliterated almost 300 houses and completely covered the Hawaiian fishing village of Kalapana in 1991.

You'll continue on around the island, over pristine rain forests, hidden valleys and waterfalls;  then experience the majestic beauty of Waipio and Waimano Valley before returning along the Kohala "Gold Coast"

Our SUNSET VOLCANO TOUR is popular for those interested primarily in seeing the active volcano.  This 1.5 to 2 hour  tour follows the route described above to the active eruption site, allows ample time for viewing all the current activity, then returns along a similar route back to Kona Airport, rather than continuing on around the island.  Offered only from Kona Airport at 4:00 PM departures.

$277 per person.
